WORK SCHEDULE 60% FTE / 24 hours per week Monday - Wednesday from 8:00am-4:30pm DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION The Multiple Sclerosis Center at UW Medical Center-Northwest is one of the largest, most comprehensive multiple sclerosis programs in the United States and serves as a model for other multiple sclerosis facilities. Since its founding in 1977, thousands of patients in the Pacific Northwest have received diagnostic and therapeutic services here. Our facility includes an onsite, dedicated infusion suite and pharmacy as well as onsite MRI that facilitates same-day imaging. Our center has been an NIH-funded, national leader in multiple sclerosis research and our patients routinely have the opportunity to participate in clinical studies. POSITION HIGHLIGHTS Work part time hours in a position offering work-life balance Provide life-changing care for multiple sclerosis patients PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Monitor patient flow Coordinate patient triage, in person and via telehealth Administer medications Assess and document care coordination within the clinic and among external community resources Educate patients on ongoing care plans Perform blood draws Will be cross-trained to provide infusion services for multiple sclerosis patients REQUIREMENTS 2 years of recent medical-surgical or ambulatory nursing experience Active licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse in Washington State BLS ABOUT UW MEDICAL CENTER-NORTHWEST UW Medical Center is an acute care hospital located in Seattle with two campuses: Montlake and Northwest.
