WORK SCHEDULE 4x10 shift schedule Primarily day shifts, Monday-Friday, with on call responsibilities for off hours cases On call responsibilities include one weeknight per week and one weekend per month ABOUT OUR ENDOSCOPY UNIT We are a high-volume inpatient procedural unit We have 3 rooms and see close to 24 patients each day RNs provide procedural support for therapeutic, diagnostic, and screening GI services and bronchoscopies POSITION HIGHLIGHTS Join a dynamic team in a high demand healthcare field Perform advanced endoscopies and complex GI procedures PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Assist providers during endoscopic procedures Provide patient care before, during, and after conscious sedation Educate patients Administer medication Use and maintain endoscopic equipment Help manage emergencies and complications Promote efficient patient flow by assisting with patient admission, phone triage, and record keeping REQUIREMENTS 2 years of recent procedural or gastroenterology nursing experience BLS Active licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse in Washington State ABOUT UW MEDICAL CENTER-NORTHWEST UW Medical Center is an acute care hospital located in Seattle with two campuses: Montlake and Northwest.
