MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • * Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent practical
  • experience.
  • * Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Accountant (CA).
  • * 4 years of experience in accounting or a related function, or 1 year with an
  • advanced degree in accounting, business, or finance.
  • * Experience with internal controls and risk management.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • * Experience in both Big 4 public accounting and operational accounting roles
  • within the industry.
  • * Knowledge of U.S. GAAP focusing on revenue recognition ASC 606.
  • * Ability to work in a collaborative, cross-functional environment to drive
  • operational initiatives.
  • * Excellent problem-solving and business judgement skills.

ABOUT THE JOB

  • In this role, you will join an accounting team for Google's devices and
  • services, understanding end-to-end accounting processes. You will drive
  • efficiency and collaborate cross-functionally to support business objectives
  • with attention to detail and problem-solving.The US base salary range for this
  • full-time position is $102,000-$146,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary
  • ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual
  • pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related
  • skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • * Oversee accountability for the accuracy, timeliness and efficiency of
  • accounting processes related to the assigned area including reviewing
  • agreements, developing significant estimates and reserves, drafting
  • accounting policies and memos, performing payment verification, executing
  • month-end close activities and reconciling balance sheets.
  • * Collaborate closely across finance including Financial Planning and Analysis
  • (FP&A), Financial Operations (FinOps), cross-product area as well with the
  • business like Product, Sales, Business Development (BD) to support new or
  • ongoing business initiatives, improve process efficiencies and scalability
  • for continued operational excellence.
  • * Review sales agreements to provide comments, vet accounting implications,
  • establish and improve processes to support the operations.
  • * Facilitate review, internal and external audits and driving insights for
  • effective management decisions and ensuring compliance.
  • * Support system launches and migrations, and participate in system design and
  • testing when applicable.
