We are looking for a detail-oriented remote researcher with GIS and mapping experience to create a comprehensive database and Google Earth map of commercial solar PV systems in Cook, DuPage, Will, and Kankakee counties (Illinois). Responsibilities • Research and compile a list of all commercial solar PV systems in the specified counties. • Collect key data points including: o Address o Latitude/Longitude (GPS coordinates) o County o Year of construction / PTO (Permission to Operate) o System size (kW/MW, if available) o Notes / Source of data • Enter all information into a clean Excel or Google Sheet. • Create a Google Earth (KML/KMZ) map with placemarks for each system. Each marker should display address and key details. • Deliver final spreadsheet + Google Earth file + documentation of data sources. Requirements • Proven experience in GIS mapping, Google Earth Pro, or related tools. • Strong data research and validation skills (public databases, permitting records, energy registries). • Proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets for data organization.
