We operate with a structured team model where experienced Accounting Managers lead high-performing Bookkeepers to deliver exceptional client results. As we scale, maintaining a rigorous hiring pipeline is critical to continue delivering the quality our clients rely on. Position Overview We are seeking a Recruiter who is highly organized, metrics-driven, and experienced in hiring accounting and bookkeeping talent—especially candidates with strong QuickBooks expertise. This role will own the full recruitment pipeline: sourcing, interviewing, assessing, and scheduling candidates with the goal of consistently meeting firm-wide hiring targets. This is a high-volume recruiting role that requires discipline, excellent communication skills, and the ability to quickly assess accounting competency and professionalism. Key Hiring Targets The recruiter is responsible for maintaining a pipeline sufficient to meet the following hiring goals: 📌 Monthly & Quarterly Hiring Targets 1 Bookkeeper hire per month Target Hire Candidate Experience: 3–5+ years, typical candidate mid-20s Added to an existing team under an Accounting Manager 1 Accounting Manager hire per quarter Starts independently; by month 2 after probation, begins managing Bookkeepers Expected to scale to 1–6 direct reports, depending on manager performance and firm demand 📌 Interview Volume Expectations To maintain a healthy recruiting funnel, the recruiter must deliver: ~First Round - 100 interviews per successful hire (bookkeepers & managers combined) This is 25 initial interviews per week ~5 per day (≈2.5 hours/day) (assuming 30 min interviews) 12.5 hours/week of interviewing OR this rounds to about 20 hours/week including scheduling, sourcing, coordination Target: 1,000 interviews recorded per year This role is highly process-driven, with consistent weekly KPIs tied directly to interview volume, candidate flow, and hiring accuracy. Responsibilities Candidate Sourcing & Pipeline Management Actively source bookkeepers and accounting managers through job boards, social media, networking, and outreach campaigns. Maintain a robust talent pipeline to meet monthly/quarterly hiring objectives. Build and manage a database of 1,000+ interviewed candidates over time. Interviewing & Evaluation Conduct 5+ initial screening interviews per day. Evaluate candidate skills including: QuickBooks expertise General accounting fundamentals Communication and professionalism Prior work experience (3–5+ years for bookkeepers, leadership for managers) Provide clear, structured interview notes and recommendations. Recruitment Operations Manage all scheduling, follow-ups, reminders, and communications. Maintain candidate data, recordings, and screening results. Prepare shortlists and coordinate final interviews with internal leaders. Offer Coordination & Onboarding Support Assist with offer drafting, compensation alignment, and negotiation. Ensure smooth onboarding handoff for new hires. Metrics & Reporting Track all interview, outreach, and hiring statistics. Report weekly on: Interviews completed Pipeline health Shortlisted candidates Progress toward hiring quotas Qualifications Required 2+ years of recruiting experience (preferably high-volume or agency-style) Strong understanding of accounting and bookkeeping roles Ability to assess QuickBooks experience and general accounting skill level Excellent communication (written & verbal) Highly organized and metric-driven Comfortable conducting 25+ interviews per week Preferred Experience recruiting internationally Familiarity with accounting workflows and team structures Experience in remote-first organizations Prior work recruiting for finance or outsourcing/offshore teams Success Criteria for This Role A successful Recruiter at ACE CPAs will: Consistently meet monthly and quarterly hiring goals Maintain a pipeline of ~100 interviews/month Deliver high-quality candidates that pass skills tests and probation Help scale manager teams as workload increases Build a recruiting engine capable of predictable growth
