JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

The Receptionist is responsible for a variety of duties at the front desk to include, but not exclusive to, providing administrative and customer support by answering, screening and forwarding incoming phone calls; greeting and assisting visitors; receive deliveries and sort mail; direct inquires and take messages; reply to emails in a timely manner; maintains office in neat and good working order; keeps all the office equipment in check as well as order any necessary office supplies; maintain office security and communicate with proper parties. May assist with clinical records and required to maintain confidentiality of patient information.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Maintains confidentiality of patient information.

2. Opens and closes office each workday.

3. Communicates effectively on the telephone with patients, families and staff.

4. Answers incoming calls and forwards to appropriate staff person or takes a message if the person is not available.

5. Welcomes and assists all guests.

6. Manages incoming, outgoing and interoffice mail.

7. Performs typing, faxing and copying tasks as requested for various staff persons.

8. Performs other necessary functions/duties as assigned by the Program Director or Designee

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

1. Minimum of high school education.

2. General knowledge of spelling, punctuation, grammar, clinical records and office procedures.

3. Basic knowledge of office machines.

4. Basic knowledge of telephone skills.

5. Aptitude or computer data entry and use of current software systems.

6. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.

7. Ability to meet the public and staff as a positive, friendly and professional representative of the organization.

8. Effective social interaction, communication and organizational skills and the ability to perform a variety of tasks efficiently.

9. Personal car for travel and valid driver’s license.

10. Carry personal auto liability insurance coverage.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $18.00 per hour
