- Join our VIneyard Hills Health Center team, we are a skilled nursing facility looking for a energetic person to join our team to be our Receptionist. The job includes but not limited to greeting visitors, determines nature of visits and directs visitors to appropriate persons. Provides information, answers telephones, among other duties. This position has the overall responsibility of ensuring that all job duties are completed within the time frames established and according to policies and procedures set forth by Compass Health, Inc.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 1. Must be a high school graduate.
- 2. Previous training in answering telephones, greeting the public, filing and computer program knowledge.
- 3. Has good verbal and written communication skills and demonstrates capability to work effectively with all employees.
- 4. Has the ability to generate enthusiasm and cooperation from others and to develop and maintain good interpersonal relationships with others.
WORKING CONDITIONS
- 1. Work both within and outside the facility.
- 2. Occasionally may work beyond normal working hours.
- 3. Is involved with residents, family members, personnel, visitors, government agencies/personnel, etc.
DUTIES
Administrative Support
- * Assists Account Payable/HR with general duties as assigned.
- * Greets visitors, physicians, representatives from local, state and federal agencies, residents, patients, and employees. Gives assistance, directions, or information as needed.
- * Answers telephone and respond or transfers calls to appropriate department or personnel. Takes and distributes messages to appropriate department.
- * Provides payment receipts when requested and assists in Resident Trust accounting.
- * Assembles and distributes job applications as needed.
- * Responsible for the reception area.
- * Assists Business Office Manager with general clerical duties as assigned.
- * Orders supplies as necessary.
General Support
- 1. Keeps immediate supervisor promptly and fully informed of all problems or unusual matters of significance and takes prompt corrective action where necessary or suggests alternative courses of action, which may be taken.
- 2. At all times project a favorable image of the Company to promote its aims and objectives and foster and enhance public recognition and acceptance of all its areas of endeavor.
- 3. Performs other duties and responsibilities as required or requested.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Ability to perform a mostly sedentary level of physical work with the exception of frequent walking and repetitive finger and wrist motions. Exertion of up to 25 pounds of force on an occasional basis and performing such activities as sitting, standing and prolonged exposure to computer screen.

- Education and experience:- High school diploma or equivalent - Previous experience in a medical office or customer service role (1 year preferred)- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment- Excellent organizational and time management skills- Excellent written and verbal interpersonal skills
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Comfortable working with Microsoft Office programs.
- Schedule: 8 hour shift Monday through Friday ~ Holiday availability
