We are looking for an experienced QuickBooks API developer to build an accounting automation tool for Architecture and Engineering firms that integrates directly with QuickBooks Online. What We Need Built: • Connect to our QuickBooks Online account via the QuickBooks API • Pull payroll/employee data (or integrate with external payroll provider if needed) • Compare monthly actual salary costs to a predefined budget • Generate a salary-variance report by employee and/or by department • Export results to Google Sheets, Excel, or QuickBooks (open to your technical recommendation) • Optional: Create a small dashboard or interface to view historical variance trends Requirements: • Proven experience with QuickBooks Online API integrations • Experience with payroll data structures (QuickBooks Payroll, Gusto, ADP, or similar) • Strong Python, Node.js, or similar backend language • Ability to recommend the best technical setup • Ability to document the solution so we can run it monthly without developer assistance going forwards Deliverables: • Fully functional automation pulling data from QuickBooks • Clean salary variance report (spreadsheet or in-app) • Documentation and hand-off • (Optional) Setup of hosting/serverless environment to run the tool monthly Please Include in your Proposal: • Examples of past QuickBooks API projects • Your estimated timeline • Your recommended technical approach If interested, let’s schedule a meeting and discuss further.
