⭐ About GovText GovText is a SaaS platform built for elected officials, government offices, campaigns, and civic organizations to manage constituent outreach through: • SMS messaging • Email campaigns • Contact management • New mover outreach • Analytics & dashboards • AI-assisted messaging • Automated workflows Our MVP is deployed and functional — now we need a dedicated QA tester to help us identify issues before onboarding customers. ⸻ 🎯 Your Responsibilities 1. Systematically Test the Entire GovText Platform You will receive: • Access to the MVP • Test credentials • Any special test data you need Your job: • Test every page, route, and feature • Recreate real user flows (onboarding, contacts, messaging, campaigns, etc.) • Attempt to break things • Identify bugs, edge cases, logic errors, UI inconsistencies, and UX problems 2. Document Bugs Clearly and Thoroughly Each bug report should include: • Steps to reproduce • Expected behavior • Actual behavior • Page URL • Screenshots and/or screen recordings • Severity level (minor, major, critical) We want extremely clear, well-structured tickets. 3. Test Across Browsers & Devices • Chrome • Safari • Firefox • Optional: Mobile (iPhone/Android) 4. Verify Integrations You’ll help confirm that: • SMS flows work end-to-end • Emails send and render correctly • Analytics dashboards load correctly • Forms validate properly • Error messages are visible & informative • Login, logout, permissions, and session handling all work • Limits, rate controls, and edge-case validations behave correctly 5. Test for UI/UX Quality This includes: • Broken elements • Misaligned layouts • Missing loading states • Missing error states • Bad spacing or overlapping • Inconsistent button styles • Inconsistent terminology across pages • Anything that feels “off” 6. Provide Written Feedback & Suggestions You can also suggest: • Improvements • Clarifications • Better onboarding • UX enhancements • Missing confirmations or warnings We want someone who thinks like a real user. ⸻ 🧰 What You’ll Be Testing GovText includes: • Login / Signup / Auth • Organization management • Contact imports & contact views • SMS campaign creation • Email campaign creation • Workflows & automations • Message logs • Analytics dashboards • Administrative settings • AI drafting and AI reply assist • Phone number management & 10DLC compliance This is a full SaaS system, so there is plenty to test. ⸻ ✅ Required Skills • Experience testing SaaS apps or web apps • Extremely detail-oriented • Able to break down issues clearly & reproduce bugs accurately • Strong understanding of UX and user flows • Ability to test end-to-end workflows • Familiarity with Chrome DevTools (basic level) • Strong written communication • Screenshots and screen recording skills
