- This Purchasing Inventory Manager has responsibility for: (i) managing the procurement of materials and supplies across multiple job sites; (ii) maintaining accurate inventory levels and overseeing inventory audits; (iii) developing and managing vendor relationships to ensure quality, pricing, and timely delivery; (iv) coordinating closely with project managers and operations teams to align purchasing with project timelines; and (v) identifying cost-saving opportunities and improvements within the purchasing and inventory processes.
- What will I do in this role?
- Manage all purchasing activities for materials, supplies, and equipment across multiple active job sites and warehouse inventory.
- Build and maintain relationships with key vendors, negotiate pricing and delivery terms, and ensure timely procurement of materials.
- Monitor inventory levels, conduct regular audits, and forecast material needs based on current and upcoming projects.
- Embrace lean systems/tools such as kanban, visual management and 5S.
- Maintain and organize an efficient inventory system to minimize waste and avoid shortages or excess.
- Work closely with project managers, production, and installation teams to align purchasing with project timelines.
- Create purchase orders, track order statuses, and manage delivery logistics.
- Resolve discrepancies with vendors regarding deliveries, quantities, or invoicing.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and process improvements within the supply chain.
- Ensure materials meet quality standards and project specifications.
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, inventory transactions, and vendor information.
- Collaborate with accounting and finance to ensure budget alignment and timely payment of vendor invoices.

- Ability to maintain accurate inventory records, order logs, and delivery timelines without missing details.

- Comfortable working with project managers, field crews, and finance teams to align supply chain decisions with project needs.
