• POSITION SUMMARY

• Boulder City Hospital is seeking a compassionate and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Geriatric Psychiatry (GeroPsych) Unit on the overnight shift. This role is ideal for a dedicated nursing professional with a strong background in psychiatric care who is passionate about supporting the mental health and well-being of older adults.

• KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• * Provide safe, therapeutic, and patient-centered nursing care to geriatric psychiatric patients

• * Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans

• * Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and hospital protocols

• * Monitor patient behavior, mental status, and safety throughout the overnight shift

• * Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including physicians, therapists, and social workers

• * Accurately document patient care, observations, and interventions in the medical record

• * Maintain a calm, supportive, and structured environment conducive to patient stabilization

• QUALIFICATIONS

• * Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Nevada (or compact license)

• * Required: Prior psychiatric nursing experience (GeroPsych experience strongly preferred)

• * Strong clinical judgment, critical thinking, and de-escalation skills

• * Ability to work independently during overnight hours

• * BLS certification required (ACLS preferred or willingness to obtain)
