About
I’m developing a motion-activated ambient-light product designed for nighttime use on a bedside or tabletop surface. The prototype should demonstrate sensor-triggered illumination, soft LED lighting behavior, and a responsive on/off system based on both motion and ambient light conditions. This project will focus on creating a functional prototype, not a mass-production model. The design should integrate LED lighting, sensor responsiveness, and a sleek 3D housing suitable for demonstration and testing. Core Deliverables: • Functional prototype demonstrating motion + ambient light triggering • Electronic schematic and bill of materials (BOM) • Basic PCB layout (breadboard or printed circuit) • 3D housing model suitable for 3D printing • Component testing video and photo documentation Preferred Skills: • Experience with LED lighting, motion or proximity sensors, ambient light detection, and microcontrollers (e.g., Arduino, ESP32, or similar) • Background in electrical engineering, product design, or consumer electronics prototyping • Ability to communicate progress clearly with photos, short clips, or CAD previews Additional Info: • NDA required before detailed concept documentation is shared. • Please include examples of similar functional prototypes or lighting-based products you’ve developed. • Initial milestone will cover schematic + component list. Additional phases (prototype build, testing, refinement) will be added upon approval. Budget & Structure: • Hourly rate: $15–$30/hour (depending on experience) • Duration: 1–3 months • Milestone-based structure preferred for accountability.
