Position Overview

NICHQ is currently recruiting an energetic, organized Project Manager to be responsible for the day-to-day interaction and management of specific activities within a project or multiple projects.  

Summary

  • Salary: $65,000
  • Career Level: Intermediate or Mid-level  
  • Status: Full Time, Exempt Employee, US Based Remote 
  • Education: Master's degree in Public Health or related field preferred and 2-4 years of experience managing projects. Equivalent relevant experience may be substituted for education.  

Position Responsibilities May Include

  • Administrative 
  • Documenting project meetings (internal and external) including notetaking and next steps. 
  • Managing calendar for project team or individuals including scheduling meetings and events
  • Managing subcontracts and invoicing, as requested
  • Other tasks as requested
  • Project Management
  • Building and manages project work plans
  • Managing day to day project tasks and deliverables to ensure project is on track to meet deadlines 
  • Assisting with project related reporting
  • Assisting with virtual or live project related events
  • Elevating concerns regarding scope, timelines, or deliverables to project leadership and revises work plan, as needed
  • May provide day to day management of external customers, vendors and/or internal support departments that are contributing to the project
  • Other responsibilities as directed

 

Qualifications

  1. Strong proficiency with office systems, computers, and MS Office Suite: Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and virtual meeting platforms (Zoom, Webex)
  2. Strong oral and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate, and/or willingness to learn and practice sharing, sensitive information with a variety of partners in a tactful manner  
  3. Skilled multi-tasker who can prioritize tasks, work with oversight and autonomously, establish work-related timelines, and meet deadlines
  4. Has strong organization and time management skills, meticulous attention to detail across varied tasks, and can generate solutions to issues as they arise
  5. Works well in a team environment and has a customer service orientation, including demonstrated skill and experience in relationship management- both internally and externally
  1. Highly flexible and adjustable
  2. Demonstrates appreciation for diversity, equity, and inclusion
  3. Experience coordinating and managing in-person and virtual events strongly preferred
  1. Experience in or knowledge of public health- especially maternal and child health, health care or related systems strongly preferred
  1. Master's degree in public health or related field preferred and 2-4 years of experience managing projects. Equivalent relevant experience may be substituted for education.  
  1. Strong interest in ongoing professional development and growth
  2. Demonstrates understanding of project methodologies and/or subject matter (e.g., quality improvement, collaborative learning, health equity, children and youth with special health care needs) and can manage the frameworks in a high-quality way
  3. Works independently and capable of making thoughtful decisions
  4. Problem-solving skills, ability to think quickly and implement plans/structure for accomplishing work
