Overview

The Project Manager is responsible for leading technology and business initiatives within the mortgage industry, ensuring successful delivery for clients ranging from financial institutions to government agencies. This role requires strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills to manage cross-functional teams, guide clients through complex transformations, and ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned to client outcomes. The Project Manager will leverage industry knowledge, consulting expertise, and proven project management practices to deliver technology solutions that enable homeownership through innovation.

 

Key Functions

  • Lead end-to-end project planning, including defining scope, deliverables, timelines, and resources in alignment with client objectives.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, risk logs, and communication plans.
  • Coordinate and manage cross-functional teams, including business, technical, and vendor resources, to ensure successful execution.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients, providing regular updates, managing expectations, and building trusted relationships.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and issues, escalating as appropriate.
  • Facilitate agile ceremonies and/or traditional project governance depending on client and project needs.
  • Prepare executive-level reporting and presentations to communicate progress, outcomes, and risks.
  • Support change management and adoption activities to ensure successful integration of solutions.
  • Coach and mentor clients and team members on project and delivery best practices.

 

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of project management or consulting experience, preferably in financial services or technology delivery.
  • Proven ability to lead complex projects involving multiple stakeholders, systems, and vendors.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects in dynamic environments.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with demonstrated success presenting to executive and client stakeholders.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships and influence outcomes across organizational boundaries.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a results-driven mindset.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and project management tools such as Jira, Confluence, or MS Project.

 

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent required.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or Agile certification (CSM,
  • PMI-ACP) preferred.

 

Preferred Skills

  • Familiarity with the mortgage industry, including knowledge of mortgage processes, data, and technology platforms.
  • Experience delivering projects in consulting and/or government contracting environments.
  • Understanding of mortgage technology ecosystems, including cloud, integration, and legacy modernization projects.

 

Position Details

Employment Type: Full-Time, W-2
Location: 100% Remote (U.S.-Based)
Hours: 40 hours/week with availability during core business hours
Start Date: ASAP
Eligibility: U.S. Citizen or legal permanent resident

Salary: $120,000-$170,000
