(10 Salaried) Position Description: The University of Louisville is seeking to hire a Programmer Analyst V. The core of this position will be to provide expert-level programming and technical direction in relation to the University’s enterprise systems development initiatives (Workday Benefits). This position is considered a senior-level position that provides mentorship to other programmers within the unit. In this position, it is essential that one be able to work with team members and stakeholders on development projects through all phases of the software development lifecycle (planning, analysis, design, implementation/programming, testing, and maintenance). It is necessary to have a distinguished technical background covering advanced configuration and enterprise application systems architecture. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Provide technical configuration and direction for the implementation for enterprise projects at a distinguished level. Serve as a coach and mentor to team members working to raise the skill set of the team and ensuring that each team member can support the development projects implemented. Manage client interactions and expectations through the development of business requirements and detailed technical/design specifications. Provide technical support for enterprise systems by providing programming and troubleshooting at a distinguished level. Communicate effectively with clients and supervisors on current status of development and escalate issues in a timely manner. Effective multitasking through prioritization of development efforts and communication with supervisor. Ability to take on complex projects with minimal supervision and guidance. Programming and development skills Ability to produce and troubleshoot complex custom logic/programming using enterprise frameworks Advanced data querying and data structures Advanced workflow development Advanced understanding of enterprise application systems architecture Demonstrated ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions Communication Skills – Verbal and Written Planning and Executing Skills Mentoring and Coaching Skills PREFERRED QUALIFICATION Ten years of related Computer experience. Workday Pro or Workday Certification in Benefits. Extensive multiple Open Enrollment experience rolling out in a Complex Benefits environment. Familiarity with U.S. benefits plans & compliance (ACA, COBRA, HIPAA, ERISA). Experience with supporting broader HCM modules. Extensive experience supporting the Workday Benefits module. (Business rule configuration, plan configuration, and vendor setup). Knowledge to support Workday Benefits integrations (Core Connectors, EIB’s and troubleshooting).
