  • JOB SUMMARY
  • Precision Science, Inc (based in Phoenix, Arizona) is seeking a highly driven individual to join our growing company in the capacity of Production Supervisor. Precision Science is a leader in the manufacturing of FDA regulated pharmaceuticals and nutraceuticals as well as EPA products in the animal healthcare industry.
  • As the Production Supervisor, you would be responsible for overseeing FDA/EPA compliant manufacturing.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Ensure steady flow of production activities, produce the right product, in the right quality, quantity and at the right time
  • Ensure optimal machine utilization
  • Oversee Production Department scheduling, production control, inventory control and output
  • Motivate and develop a cohesive production team
  • Initiate, recommend, investigate, trouble-shoot and provide solutions and actions to prevent the occurrence of any non-conformities relating to the products, process and quality system
  • To lead a team of technicians and operators to meet production yield and target.
  • In charge of the production team’s daily output requirements and operational efficiency
  • Responsible for the production team’s discipline, attendance and planning shift schedules
  • Liaise with production on planning output requirements
  • SCHEDULE: 2nd Shift 3pm-2am Mon-Thurs (Friday's as needed by department up to 50-55 hours per week)
  • Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum High School Diploma
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in Manufacturing environment, including experience in a supervisory role
  • Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing Principles and demonstrated results
  • Experience with extruders and packaging equipment
  • Experience within a metrics driven organization
  • Strong process control experience
  • Good communication skills and possess leadership qualities
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access
  • Knowledge of MSDS, HACCP and GMPs
  • Knowledge of working with regulatory agencies (e.g. OSHA, AIB, FDA, EPA)
  • Experience in safety administration
  • Has demonstrated good leadership skills. Ability to direct a diverse work force
  • Excellent organizational skills with a high degree of initiative and flexibility
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, teambuilding, and oral/written communication skills

  • Willingness to work evenings, night shifts, weekends, and holidays
