Production Baker Job Description:

PrideStaff is working with a local bread manufacturing facility who is in search of multiple Production Bakers. The Production Baker will work in an industrial food production environment to produce sourdough bread from fermentation to baking by following standard recipes and maintaining a clean and safe workspace. The ideal Production Baker exhibits excellent math, measuring, time management, and critical thinking skills, and clear communication skills. The Production Baker is a full-time, temp-to-hire position in Sacramento, CA.

Production Baker Job Responsibilities:

• Prepares, Mixes, & Shapes Sourdough Accurately Following Established Recipes For Large Scale Baking
• Manages Fermentation, Monitor Proofing, & Operate Commercial Ovens For Baking at High Volumes, Adjusting The Temp as Needed
• Operates & Maintains Commercial Kitchen Equipment Such as Mixers, Proofing Cabinets & Ovens
• Monitors The Quality of Ingredients & Finished Products by Weighing Ingredients & Adhering to Strict Foods Safety Standards
• Monitors Inventory & Supplies & Assists With Ordering Supplies as Needed
• Monitor Ingredients & Inventory to Minimize Waste
• Maintain a Clean & Sanitary Work Environment to Meet Production Deadlines & Assist With Additional Task as Needed
• Follow All PPE & Safety Guidelines

Production Baker Job Requirements & Working Conditions:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent Required
• Previous Baking or Industry Food Production Preferred
• Thorough Understanding of Bread Making & Baking Process Required
• Knowledge of Different Flours, Natural Leavening, & Sourdough Fermentation Processes
• Ability to Troubleshoot Issues With Dough or Baking Processes
• Must be Familiar With Baking Equipment Such as Industrial Mixers, Ovens & Baking Tools
• Exhibits Excellent Math & Measuring Skills to Follow Recipes & Instructions
• Excellent Attention to Detail & Commitment to Quality
• Requires The Ability to Stand For Extended Periods, Perform Repetitive Tasks, & Lift up to 50lbs
• Must be Comfortable Working With Large Hot Industrial Machines
• Delivers Clear Communication & Organizational Skills
