• Requirements

Position Summary

• The Product Development (PD) Application Scientist will play a central role in defining product requirements, applications, and value propositions to ensure that development plans align with OriGene’s strategic goals. This position combines scientific expertise with business insight to drive product innovation, execution, and commercialization.
• The incumbent will plan and conduct experiments, analyze and interpret data, and summarize key findings to guide decisions. Working with cross-functionally teams, this role ensures that products meet application and performance expectations while supporting timely delivery and market success.
• This position will also partner with marketing and sales to support product launches, develop go-to-market strategies, conduct technical training, and engage with customers and key opinion leaders (KOLs) to foster continuous improvement and innovation.

Key Responsibilities

• Define product requirements, applications, and value propositions based on market needs and customer feedback.
• Design and execute molecular, proteomic, and functional assays to drive innovative product development and application validation.
• Analyze data and communicate conclusions that inform product design and improvement.
• Drive product development through collaboration with R&D, QC, and production to ensure scientific integrity and scalability.
• Partner with marketing and sales teams to support product launches, application training, and technical collateral.
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with customers, KOLs, and partners to identify new opportunities for product and application innovation.
• Manage assigned product line(s) and ensure deliverables meet technical and commercial objectives.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. or equivalent training in Life Sciences (Cell Biology, Immunology, Oncology, Neuroscience or related field), industry experience preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to design, execute, and interpret experimental data with scientific rigor.
• Strong understanding of life science product development, validation, and commercialization.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally.
• Organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple projects effectively.
• Motivated, innovative, and passionate about developing solutions that advance scientific research.

Preferred Attributes

• Experience leading cross-functional product development or technical marketing initiatives.
• Understanding of assay design principles, quality systems, and regulatory considerations.
• Strong customer engagement skills and the ability to translate technical features into application value.
