  • Job Summary & Essential Functions: Servatron, a Volex Company, is excited to grow our Process Technician team. We are looking for a technician that embraces opportunities and continuously questions the status quo. The Process Technician will program, test, troubleshoot and repair production equipment, tooling and support equipment, assist in the training of other technicians, support engineers as requested, and create status reports and summarize findings.
  • Assist in completing preventative maintenance, as required.
  • Perform routine calibration, repair, and troubleshooting.
  • Create equipment programs for Prototype PCBAs and perform de-bugging required to maintain expected quality and yields.
  • Assist engineers with fabricating and assembling systems for prototype models from schematics, rough sketches, and verbal instructions.
  • Documents and reports on equipment and process failures.
  • Use of original equipment manufacturers and Servatron documentation.
  • Assist in continuous improvement and process implementation activities.
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
  • Assist engineers and other technicians in performing duties.
  • Performs a variety of tasks throughout the factory beyond equipment.
  • Assist with DFM reports.

Equipment used

  • Various Production Equipment (i.e, selective solder, automated liquid dispensers, router depanelers, curing oven, RODI washes, laser solder)
  • Voltmeters / power meter
  • Computers / Experience using Microsoft Excel and Outlook
  • Measuring tools
  • Soldering Iron
  • Miscellaneous hand tools (screwdrivers, pliers, cutters)

  • A.A. degree in field of electronics or related field or four years directly related work experience
  • Strong computer knowledge
  • Proficient in verbal and written English
  • Color vision
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to change.
  • A.A. degree in the field of electronics and two years directly related work experience preferred
  • Hand soldering / soldering repair skills preferred
  • Programming experience preferred
  • Lean manufacturing experience preferred
  • Work Environment and Safety Equipment Required: The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of the job.
  • This is an electronics manufacturing environment that may require the use of safety devices including glasses with side shields and ESD equipment/clothing and other PPE as required for the task. Long periods of standing or walking are required. Must be able to lift up to 20lbs on occasion.
