As the Privacy Specialist II you will assist the Associate Director & Privacy Counsel with the management of the day-to-day operations of the Privacy Program with a significant focus on privacy incident response management, managing response to data subject rights, policy development and maintenance, and increasing operational efficiency. The ideal candidate for this position must have flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and organizational needs. They will have an outstanding sense of commerciality and will be solutions focused. In addition, the candidate must have the ability to build relationships and operate independently in a fast-paced, growing, exciting environment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Manage the entire life cycle of privacy incident investigation, including identifying root cause, mitigating the harm, providing appropriate notification, and maintaining accurate documentation in OneTrust module. Independently manage and respond to data subject rights requests; implement and maintain technical tools (OneTrust module) to assist in automating and scaling response to data subject rights requests throughout the United States; review nonstandard third-party requests for member records. Develop, track, and analyze actionable metrics to continuously improve tools, procedures & provide visibility of operations of the privacy program to management. Assist with development, implementation and ongoing management of new hire privacy training and annual refresher training as well as other applicable training, education sessions, and employee communications; develop curriculum; track and ensures employee completion Assist with drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a wide variety of privacy and data protection agreements Maintain subject matter expertise in federal and state privacy laws, the technical tools used to manage the Privacy Program (OneTrust), and Teladoc’s operational processes and procedures. Develop, maintain, and implement privacy policies, procedures, Notice of Privacy Practices, and other member forms and documents; maintain up-to-date privacy content on the internal company intranet and member facing websites. Respond to audits to the extent applicable to the privacy program. Perform other support duties and responsibilities as required, assigned, or requested. Qualifications Required for Position Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in healthcare administration, business, and/or related field, or experience in lieu of education Minimum of 5 years relevant experience working within a highly regulated industry, preferably health care. Minimum of 3 years working in a compliance and/or privacy program. Current knowledge of HIPAA Privacy Regulations is required. Experience configuring and working with the OneTrust privacy modules strongly preferred. Health care compliance or IAPP certification strongly preferred. Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to effectively persuade and negotiate with all levels of the organizations. Experience with policy development. Ability to synthesize and explain complex legal requirements and situations for business partners. Experience interfacing with Executive Management. Knowledge of commercial and government healthcare laws and regulations. Ability to work in a dynamic, hands-on manner; respond to questions from business areas and a complex subsidiary organization. The base salary range for this position is $70,000.00-$80,000.00, based on experience. In addition to a base salary, this position is eligible for a performance bonus and benefits (subject to eligibility requirements) listed here: Teladoc Health Benefits 2025. Total compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to, type of position, location, education level, work experience, and certifications.
