Winpak Control Group Inc. is seeking a Press Operator to join our Printing Department based out of Norwood, New Jersey In this role, you will operate and maintain flexographic printing presses to produce high-quality printed materials that meet customer specifications. You’ll ensure consistent color, registration, and print quality while maintaining adherence to safety, cGMP, and production standards. This position plays a key role in supporting Winpak’s ongoing commitment to operational excellence, safety, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate, monitor, and adjust press equipment to meet quality and production goals.
    • Read and interpret job spec sheets to ensure proper materials, inks, and tooling are used.
    • Perform setup, color matching, register adjustments, and ink viscosity checks.
    • Conduct in-process quality inspections for color consistency, print registration, and adhesion.
    • Troubleshoot and correct printing, mechanical, or web handling issues to minimize downtime.
    • Maintain compliance with all safety, GMP, and housekeeping standards.
    • Train, guide, and communicate effectively with press crew members and supervisors.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
    • 5+years of experience operating a printing press in a manufacturing environment (flexographic preferred).
    • Ability to read and interpret production specifications and perform basic math and metric conversions.
    • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving ability.
    • Good communication, teamwork, and attention to detail.
    • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand or walk for extended periods of time.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Nilpeter or comparable multi-color printing presses.
    • Knowledge of anilox rolls, ink systems, and solvent blends.
    • Familiarity with cGMP and preventive maintenance procedures.
    • Prior experience in flexible packaging or film manufacturing.
    • Leadership or press crew training experience.

Additional Details

This is a full-time position.
This position is 100% onsite in Norwood, NJ.

Wage Range: $33–$38/hour
