Job Description Summary As the Lead Power Electronics Engineer you will be responsible for leading and performing Low Voltage and Medium Voltage power electronics and electrical design tasks on Drive System projects. This is a technical role and will involve working in a multi-disciplinary team of engineers to specify, design, support manufacturing & validation of megawatt-scale power electronics for Marine, Energy, and Industry applications.#LI-ML2 Job Description Main Responsibilities Conceptual or theoretical activities that deals with the study/research and application of electricity, electronics, and electromagnetism. Developing in-depth knowledge of a technical discipline. Uses prior experience and acquired technical expertise to execute policy/strategy. In-depth understanding of key business drivers; uses this understanding to accomplish own work. In-depth understanding of how work of own team integrates with other teams and contributes to the area. Uses some level of judgment and has ability to propose different solutions outside of set parameters but with guidance. Uses prior experience and on-the-job training to solve straightforward tasks. Has access to technical skills and analytic thinking required to solve problems. May use multiple internal sources outside of own team to arrive at decisions. Provides informal guidance to new team members The ideal candidate shall possess strong technical familiarity with GE drive products and the HPCi platform, including configuration, troubleshooting, performance optimization, and integration within industrial control system. The candidate should have a clear understanding of the entire project execution life cycle and demonstrate flexibility to participate in all phases, including bidding, design, engineering, commissioning, and after-sales service and support The candidate should demonstrate flexibility and proficiency in multiple disciplines, including project engineering, hardware design, and control system development, ensuring effective collaboration across all project phases Required Qualifications Masters or PhD degree in Electrical Engineering/ Power Electronics/ Control system, with 8 Years of Experience. Knowledge of power electronics converter design and electrical machines control methods is desirable. Skilled user of power electronics design tools such as MATLAB, Simulink, PLECS etc. At least 5 years of professional experience in the power industry, specifically in the variable frequency drive (VFD) domain, with demonstrated expertise in system design, troubleshooting methodology. Desired Characteristics Excellent oral and written communication skills. Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems. Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs. Established project management skills. Ability to multi-task on a variety of projects, adapts to changing circumstances, able to deal with ambiguity making positive use of the opportunities it presents. Excellent personal organizational skills, ability to manage time effectively, monitors performance against deadlines and milestones, works productively in a pressurized environment. Ability to travel on short notice in accordance with customer/project requirements, both within and outside the United States. The base pay range for this position is 88 600,00 - 118 100,00 - 147 600,00 USD Annual. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for a performance 10% bonus.
