We are building a new political YouTube channel, The Dais, focused on U.S. Senate and Congressional hearings. Our mission is to transform hearings into engaging, accessible, and thought-provoking content that connects with a wide audience. We’re looking for a talented script writer who can watch hearing clips, research context, and craft compelling scripts with a strong narrative voice. The ideal candidate can turn complex political exchanges into clear, engaging commentary that informs and captivates viewers. Payment per script is $20. The budget is for 30 scripts a month once we scale up. We will start with 3 scripts per week. Responsibilities: • Watch U.S. Senate and Congressional hearings and select the most impactful moments. • Research context and background for each hearing to provide clarity. • Write polished scripts (8–10 minutes) that mix commentary, analysis, and storytelling. • Deliver scripts in a timely manner (we publish multiple videos weekly). • Collaborate with our team (editors, hosts, managers) to ensure scripts fit our brand tone. Requirements: • Strong writing skills with a sharp, engaging tone. • Understanding of U.S. politics, government hearings, and current events. • Ability to simplify complex topics while keeping them accurate and impactful. • Previous experience writing for YouTube or similar platforms is a big plus. • Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to meet deadlines.
