Our team is expanding, and we are seeking a strong people leader to oversee our high-energy Plumbing Service Division.
  • Position Overview
  • The Plumbing Service Manager leads a professional and highly skilled team of licensed residential service plumbers and hungry apprentices. This role requires a proven leader who thrives in fast-paced operations, balancing strong people leadership with disciplined administrative skills.

The ideal candidate is

  • Experienced in managing large field teams (25+ employees).
  • Energetic, decisive, and empathetic with strong follow-through.
  • Able to drive both operational performance and a winning team culture.
  • Comfortable being highly visible in the field while also ensuring administrative accuracy and efficiency.
  • This position is central to the growth and success of our Plumbing Service division, with direct responsibility for revenue, gross margin, and overall performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leadership & Team Management
  • Lead and manage all Service Plumbers and apprentices.
  • Motivate and inspire the team to perform at a high level in a 7-day operation.
  • Provide coaching, mentoring, and accountability to ensure safety, quality, and efficiency.
  • Operational Management
  • Oversee departmental scheduling, resource allocation, and workflow to maximize billable efficiency.
  • Ensure jobs are set up and handed off accurately for seamless execution.
  • Uphold safety standards and compliance with all codes and regulations.
  • Oversee compliance with all local and state plumbing codes.
  • Support staff development through ongoing training, guidance, and accountability to daily, weekly, and monthly KPIs.
  • Financial & Growth Accountability
  • Manage departmental performance including service revenue, gross margin, and job completion timelines.
  • Maintain service forecasts, budget plans, and work-in-progress reports.
  • Drive sales of plumbing system replacements, equipment upgrades, and preventative maintenance services.
  • Partner with the General Manager to drive annual growth in the division.
  • Monitor job costing outputs provided by Accounting; and use it to protect profitability.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Be part of the overall management team: Partner with Dispatch, Call Center, Warehouse, Fleet, HR, Payroll, and Accounting to ensure smooth operations.
  • Culture & Customer Focus
  • Lead with compassion, making balanced decisions that protect employees and the company.
  • Act as a figurehead for success: visible, approachable, and motivating to staff.
  • Ensure every customer receives professional, high-quality service that upholds South West Plumbing’s reputation.
  • What We Offer
  • Competitive Pay & Bonuses: Annual Total compensation range: $90,000 - $150,000 DOE
  • Perks: Company vehicle for work use + allocated gas amount.

  • Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years of management experience, with proven success leading 25+ employees.
  • Background in home services, plumbing, or related trades preferred but not required.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and people management skills.
  • Operationally disciplined with excellent organizational and administrative ability.
  • Financially literate with experience managing budgets and departmental performance.
  • High energy, results-driven, and committed to employee engagement.
