- The PCL Product Line Manager is responsible for the overall leadership, operation, and strategic growth of the Pacific Coast Laboratories (PCL) product line. This role oversees the entire product lifecycle, ensuring operational excellence across customer service, manufacturing, assembly, and sales enablement functions.
- This position serves as the central point of accountability for product readiness, customer satisfaction, employee training, and cross-functional coordination. The PCL Product Line Manager serves as a key liaison between customers, internal teams, and leadership, ensuring consistent quality, scalable processes, and strong customer relationships.
- ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the PCL product line, ensuring operational continuity, quality standards, and readiness as the business scales.
- Serve as the primary relationship manager for existing PCL customers, maintaining strong partnerships through proactive communication, issue resolution, and ongoing support.
- Provide customer service leadership, including establishing service standards and training employees on product knowledge, troubleshooting, and professional customer engagement.
- Act as the subject matter expert for PCL products, supporting customers, internal teams, and partners with technical guidance on product functionality, use cases, and applications.
- Oversee and support employee training related to assembly processes, manufacturing workflows, quality control, and proper product handling to ensure consistency and compliance.
- Lead and coordinate PCL product development initiatives, including evaluating enhancements, gathering customer and internal feedback, monitoring competitive trends, and collaborating with engineering and design teams.
- Partner with Sales leadership to train and support the sales team on PCL offerings, pricing structures, value propositions, and key differentiators to enable effective selling.
- Monitor key performance indicators, identify operational gaps, and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, quality, and customer satisfaction.
- Develop, maintain, and enforce documentation, including SOPs, work instructions, training materials, and product reference guides to support operational consistency and accuracy.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and quality requirements across all PCL-related operations.
- Perform additional duties as assigned in support of departmental and organizational objectives.
- Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Operations, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
- 3–5 years of experience in product management, operations, customer service, or technical product support.
- Manufacturing, assembly, or technical product environment experience strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to train teams, lead cross-functional collaboration, and manage customer-facing relationships.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, evolving environment with shifting priorities.
