Under the direction of the Manager of Float Pool, Clinical House, and unit-based licensed nursing staff, the Patient Safety Companion/ CO is utilized to sit with patients who are experiencing the following situations including but not limited to : suicide potential, potential to harm self or others, restless and or confused. The safety companion is to maintain continuous visual observation of the patient. SHIFT/SCHEDULE * Full Time - Scheduled for 32 hrs/week * Shift - 10:00 pm - 6:30am * This position will have scheduled shifts every other weekend and holiday Job Requirements: High School Graduate or GED equivalent Must be 18 years or older All sitters must maintain yearly training requirements.
