- The Patient Access Representative(Greeter) provides exceptional care for our patients and guest by offering them professional service and creating a memorable and rewarding patient experience at Utah Navajo Health System. Greets and directs Patients and Guest to their destinations. Anticipates the needs of the patients and guest then responds in an accurate and timely manner.
- Location: Blanding, Utah

- Requirements
- Must be fluent in speaking Navajo and English.
- Cordially greets visitors and patients upon arrival and communicate with service wait times;
- Ascertains patients’ and or visitors’ needs and directs them accordingly.
- Provides assistance to patients and visitors by obtaining wheelchairs, or other ambulatory services, as needed.
- Escorts or transports patients who need help to their destination within the health clinic; Coordinates the patient’s triage, as necessary.
- Advocates for patients/families and supports patients' rights.
- Provide updated non-medical information to waiting family members/significant others.
- Notifies family member/significant other when the patient is ready to be discharged;
- Assists patients entering or exiting vehicles.
- Assists patients in calling for transportation services, as needed.
- Keeps the front driveway clear and unobstructed for patient and visitor drop-off and pick-up.
- Contacts Security, Environmental Services, or Facilities Management, for assistance when necessary.
- Monitors the overall appearance of the health clinic entrance. Interacts effectively with other departments of the hospital to accomplish departmental functions.
- Represents the organization in a professional manner when dealing with patients and the public.
- Performs related duties as required.
Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age or older;
- Must have at least one year of direct work experience with communicating and assisting the general public; preferably in a healthcare related work environment
License/Certification
- Must be 18 years of age or older;
- Must have at least one year of direct work experience with communicating and assisting the general public; preferably in a healthcare related work environment
- Must obtain and maintain first aid & CPR certification;
- Must receive annual flu vaccination;
- Must receive COVID-19 vaccination;
- Must be fluent in the Navajo and English language
