  • As a Parts Counter Person (Back), you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation of our parts department. Your primary responsibility is to assist customers and technicians in locating, selecting, and purchasing the necessary automotive parts. You will also be involved in various inventory management tasks to maintain optimal stock levels.
  • Responsibilities

Customer Service

  • Greet customers promptly and professionally.
  • Assist customers in identifying and selecting the correct parts.
  • Provide accurate information on part availability, pricing, and compatibility.
  • Process customer orders and payments efficiently.
  • Resolve customer inquiries and complaints in a timely and courteous manner.

Inventory Management

  • Maintain accurate inventory records.
  • Receive and stock incoming parts shipments.
  • Conduct regular inventory checks to identify low-stock items.
  • Place orders for parts to replenish stock levels.
  • Organize and maintain a clean and organized parts warehouse.

Technical Support

  • Utilize computer systems and parts catalogs to identify and locate parts.
  • Collaborate with technicians to determine the correct parts needed for repairs.
  • Provide technical advice and support to customers and technicians.

Administrative Tasks

  • Process paperwork, including invoices, purchase orders, and returns.
  • Assist with shipping and receiving operations.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Qualifications
  • Demonstrates a high “HQ” (Hospitality Quotient) consisting of kindness & optimism, intellectual curiosity, work ethic, empathy, self-awareness, and integrity.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: Previous experience in automotive parts or related field preferred.

Skills

  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Basic computer skills, including knowledge of inventory management systems.
  • Valid driver's license (may be required for deliveries or other duties).
  • Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy parts.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Ability to bend, reach, and kneel.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
