Role Description
This position is directly responsible for generating revenue and reaching profit and margin goals by the day-to-day management and growth of assigned partner accounts.
- Develop and implement strategies intended to grow Sourcewell's participating agency user base by identifying, landing, and leveraging strategic partners.
- Represent Partnerships at internal and external meetings.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist in the development and implementation of a strategic plan to achieve P&L goals for assigned partner accounts.
- Manage relationships with internal solution owners, Government Accounts, Marketing, strategic partners, and external consultants or SMEs to identify current or future partnership needs.
- Conduct research on market trends, competitor activities, supplier, and agency unique needs to identify current and future partnership needs.
- Attend trade shows, conferences, meetings, and other events to evaluate potential partnership or event opportunities.
- Develop an evaluation criterion to assess the effectiveness of partnerships in driving embracement and adoption of Sourcewell solutions.
- Manage partnerships from inception to renewal.
- Identify potential partners by researching the industry, agency needs, and competitive landscape.
- Initiate and nurture relationships with potential partners to ensure alignment between both sides' goals and objectives.
- Negotiate agreements and contracts that meet the Public Purpose doctrine and advance Sourcewell's goals and objectives.
- Manage the relationship with partner accounts and communicate frequently with partners to ensure deliverables are met.
- Collaborate with partner accounts, solution owners, and outside consultants to develop marketing strategies and tactics.
- Capture and develop Voice of Customer insights from and for partners.
- Represent partners to internal Sourcewell teams to establish strategies and enhance procurement processes.
- Lead advisory committees and focus groups in collaboration with the Marketing team and other stakeholders.
- Occasionally represent the Partnership team at internal meetings and participate in the annual planning process.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in a related field AND 2 years of experience in sales management, P&L management, business development, account management, client relations/development, or other directly related experience, OR a combination of related post-secondary and/or professional education/training and demonstrated relevant work experience equivalent to a total of four (4) years.
- Public speaking or sales presentation experience.
- Business process and operational knowledge in sales, customer service, supply chain, and/or procurement.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Team management and leadership experience or other relevant training.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a related field (preferred).
- Four (4) years of experience in sales management, P&L management, business development, account management, client relations/development, or other directly related experience (preferred).
- Two (2) or more years of public speaking and/or sales presentation experience (preferred).
- Two (2) or more years of business process and operational knowledge in sales, customer service, supply chain, and/or procurement (preferred).
- Sales experience (preferred).
Benefits
- This is a remote position, subject to Sourcewell's telecommuting policies and procedures.
- Must be able to travel 6-10 times a year with multiple night stays required.
- Occasionally expected to attend meetings or trainings at Sourcewell's headquarters in Staples, MN.
