Job Overview
We are seeking an organized and patient math teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a background in math education and a commitment to fostering a love for numbers among students. Ideal candidate can be a college student, or someone working on getting a degree in math education.

This role involves developing engaging math curricula, lesson planning, and having 4 lessons ready per week of 45-50 minutes for students in Grades 5 and 6.

This position is at a faith-based homeschool hybrid program, which is conducted in a local church. As such, all applicants must teach according the programs faith based mission statement

This position offers 5.5 paid hours per week. 2 hours are for lesson planning and 3.5 hours of in-person classroom teaching at our location in Grove City.

Weekly hours:

Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from either 10:00am-10:50am, or 10:50am-11:30am in person or over Zoom.

Parent Teacher conferences would need to be in person, there are a few requirements for in-person meetings with school staff.

Planning hours are completed at your home.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement lesson plans for weekly class instruction.
• Possess strong classroom management skills
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff regarding student progress and classroom activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Math Education or a related field; teaching certification preferred, but not required - will consider students enrolled in school for education/math degrees
• Experience working with children in an educational setting is preferred
• Knowledge of curriculum development and standardized testing practices is beneficial.
• Strong communication skills to effectively engage with students, parents, and colleagues.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
