Are you passionate about early childhood education and love working with young children?

Springfield Genius Academy is seeking a qualified Part-Time PreK/Kindergarten English Teacher to join our dynamic team!

We’re looking for someone who is enthusiastic, nurturing, and dedicated to creating a supportive and engaging learning environment. The ideal candidate will have experience working with young children, understand developmentally appropriate practices, and be able to foster a love of learning through play-based and hands-on activities.

Location: Springfield Genius Academy
Schedule: Part-Time (schedule to be discussed)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a classroom of PreK/Kindergarten students
  • Guide and support assistant teachers in daily routines and classroom activities
  • Ensure the safety, care, and well-being of all students
  • Create and implement engaging, age-appropriate lesson plans
  • Encourage children to explore, ask questions, and build early academic skills
  • Create, assign, and assess student work to track progress
  • Communicate effectively with families and staff members

Qualifications:

  • Must have a Bachelor’s degree in education or a related field, or hold a Preschool/PreK Level or P-3 teaching certification
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a child care or educational setting, preferably as a Lead Preschool/PreK Teacher
  • Must have or be willing to obtain Infant/Child CPR and First Aid certification
  • Must be available to work Monday–Friday for 4 hours a day (between 9 AM–1 PM or 10 AM–2 PM), with flexibility to stay later if needed
  • Must be willing to complete required annual training hours and participate in school meetings and professional development sessions

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
