Department Parking & Transportation Services-OPS Compensation Required Qualifications As a Parking Event Assistant, you will play a vital role in delivering a seamless and positive parking experience for guests attending campus events. Your primary responsibilities include facilitating parking operations, assisting customers during entry and exit procedures, and addressing concerns in accordance with established University policies. This role requires professionalism, adaptability, and strong communication skills, especially when managing challenging customer interactions. Event Staff must be available to work part time variable hours, including daytime, evening, and weekend shifts, based on event scheduling. Key Responsibilities Operate and maintain all equipment assigned to UNF Parking Services in a safe and effective manner. Lift and transport event-related materials weighing up to 45 lbs. Professionally handle interactions with potentially challenging customers, resolving issues within the guidelines and policies established by the University. Communicate regularly with supervisor regarding operational updates and relevant concerns. Prioritize tasks and assignments as directed by the supervisor to ensure efficient workflow. Set up event sites prior to scheduled activities and break down equipment and materials post-event; may be required to direct traffic flow as needed. Work a flexible part time schedule, including daytime, evening, and weekend hours, based on event needs. Maintain clear and effective communication with UNF staff and external personnel to support smooth operations. Assist with shuttle stop maintenance to ensure cleanliness and functionality. Conduct safety checks in event spaces and report issues such as lighting outages, broken wheel stops, or general safety hazards.
