Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Paralegal/Case Manager to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in personal injury law. This role involves managing legal cases from inception to resolution, ensuring all documentation is accurate and deadlines are met. The Case Manager will work closely with attorneys and clients, providing essential support throughout the legal process.
Responsibilities
- Manage a caseload of clients, ensuring timely communication and updates on case status.
- Conduct interviews with clients to gather necessary information for case preparation.
- Perform legal research using tools such as LexisNexis and Westlaw to support case strategies.
- Draft legal documents, including contracts, pleadings, and correspondence.
- Review and organize case files, maintaining accurate records in document management systems.
- Assist attorneys in trial preparation, including document review and transcription of legal proceedings.
- Collaborate with various stakeholders, including clients, attorneys, and external agencies.
- Maintain compliance with relevant laws and regulations in areas such as estate planning, landlord-tenant law, and workers' compensation law.
- Utilize project management skills to ensure efficient handling of multiple cases simultaneously.
Skills
The successful candidate will demonstrate proficiency in the following areas:
- Strong understanding of estate planning, personal injury law and workers comp.
- Experience with legal administrative tasks including data entry, filing, clerical duties, and executive administrative support.
- Excellent writing skills for drafting legal documents and proofreading materials.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple cases effectively while adhering to deadlines.
- Ability to conduct thorough legal research and analysis.
- Familiarity with litigation processes and document review procedures.
- Effective phone etiquette and interpersonal communication skills for client interaction. This role is essential in supporting our legal team in delivering high-quality services to our clients while ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
