The Order Entry Specialist will be responsible for accurately entering and managing customer orders across various systems. Key Responsibilities
- Accurately enter, update, and manage customer orders in various systems and databases
- Review and verify orders for completeness and correctness before entry
- Identify and resolve any discrepancies or errors in order data in a timely manner
- Document order processing procedures and maintain detailed records of all transactions
- Collaborate with team members and departments to improve processes and share best practices
- Participate in regular meetings to discuss order accuracy and process enhancements
- Use order management software to track and manage order entries efficiently
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures for consistent order handling
- Generate reports on order processing outcomes and accuracy rates
- Stay current with order management systems and software to support efficient order fulfillment
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn new software quickly
- Ability to handle challenging situations with composure
- Reliable internet connection and a dedicated home office space
- Availability to work flexible hours, including some evenings or weekends as required
- Basic understanding of order management systems or similar software
- Ability to type at least 40 words per minute for efficient order entry
- Preferably 1-2 years of experience in a customer-facing role
