We’re looking for an experienced WordPress developer who specializes in website speed and performance optimization. Our site is currently running slower than desired, and we want to achieve fast loading times across desktop and mobile, without compromising design or functionality. Your Responsibilities: • Audit our existing WordPress website to identify performance bottlenecks. • Optimize Core Web Vitals (LCP, FID, CLS) and reduce overall load time. • Minimize and optimize scripts, CSS, images, and server requests. • Set up or fine-tune caching (server-level, plugin-based, or CDN). • Improve PageSpeed Insights and GTmetrix scores. • Ensure website compatibility across all major browsers and devices. • Provide a short report of changes made and measurable improvements. Goals: • Page load time: under 2 seconds (desktop and mobile) • Google PageSpeed Score: 90+ • No loss in visual quality or functionality Requirements: • Proven experience optimizing WordPress websites for speed and SEO. • Strong understanding of Core Web Vitals, Google PageSpeed Insights, and Lighthouse. • Familiarity with popular plugins: WP Rocket, LiteSpeed Cache, Autoptimize, etc. • Experience with CDNs (Cloudflare, Bunny.net, etc.). • Good communication skills and ability to explain technical changes clearly. Nice to Have: • Experience with Elementor / WPBakery performance tuning (if applicable). • Knowledge of server-level optimization (NGINX, Apache, or LiteSpeed). • Past projects with before/after metrics are a big plus.
