SUMMARY:
The Operations Data Analyst is responsible for supporting data analysis, validation, and reporting activities within the Operations Analysis department. You will contribute to the development and maintenance of data and reporting infrastructure across the Operations department. This includes assisting with Data Warehouse initiatives, optimizing data systems, building data visualizations, mapping data flows, and supporting cyclical reporting needs. Additionally, you will ensure data quality standards are achieved through data maintenance and by following a data quality strategy. The analyst will support reporting processes, contribute to Power BI development efforts, and assist in generating insights to inform Operations decision-making.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Assist in designing and validating that core business knowledge is incorporated accurately in our data reporting infrastructure to ensure a smooth technical implementation of data driven reporting solutions.
  • Assist and supports in defining and establishing appropriate data standards, understanding the data needs of regulatory and internal reporting, the acquisition and data quality measurement of that data, and fixing issues at the source through transformation programs.
  • Assist in final Power BI acceptance into a centralized Operations department owned Power BI app by ensuring sources are all contained within the Data Warehouse and standardization of Power BI Report formatting is consistent with approved standards.
  • Support Operations and stakeholders in understanding reports through visualization by using software such as Power BI.
  • Collaborate with our data engineers, software developers, database architects, data analysts, data scientists and key stakeholders on data initiatives and ensure that the optimal data delivery is consistent throughout ongoing projects.
  • Conduct data analysis and support development of visualizations using Power BI and other tools.
  • Assist in troubleshooting, debugging, and resolving data issues.
  • Stay informed about relevant tools and best practices to ensure efficient use of reporting applications.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Mathematics, Engineering or 2+ years of related experience.
  • 1–3 years of professional experience with Data Management technologies and a minimum of 1 year in Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse, Azure SQL Database, Azure Data Bricks.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite; strong Excel skills required.
  • Experience with dashboard/reporting tools such as Power BI, Tableau, SSRS, or SSIS.

REQUIREMENTS/SKILLS:
  • Proficiency in SQL and experience with Microsoft Azure, Databricks, and Power BI (Desktop/Online).
  • Ability to gather reporting requirements from stakeholders and translate them into queries and dashboards.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with IT, Business Users and Project Team Members, to resolve any data issues, stakeholder requests, ad hoc requests, etc.
  • Ability to understand and map data flows and database structures.
  • Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Analytical mindset with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Self-motivated and eager to learn.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
  • Physical demands are mostly consistent with a professional office setting
  • Regular sitting at workstation for 25 – 75% of the work shift
  • Frequent standing and walking
  • Travel required (<20%)

Annual Salary of $62,475-$99,900. This compensation range is provided as a reasonable estimate of the starting salary range for this role. Factors that may be used to determine your actual salary may include but are not limited to your specific skills, your work location, how many years of experience you have, and comparison to other employees already in this role.
