  • Description
  • The Office Services Assistant performs various office administrative support duties, including handling mail, answering phones, filing, and word processing, while maintaining the highest customer service standards. Operates office equipment and refills supplies as needed. May perform other minor duties, including distributing petty cash, ordering supplies, and backing up receptionist.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Checking and responding to work / email requests for printing, copying, office supply orders and other ad hoc requests.
  • Providing a “white glove” experience to MetroNational employees—assisting colleagues with various office support tasks, as needed.
  • Regularly ordering supplies as needed
  • Coding invoices for Office Services orders
  • Responsible for maintaining a clean office services work room, keeping inventory current with weekly checklist and documented inventory control sheet.
  • Responsible for cleaning conference rooms between meetings
  • Distribute inter-office and postal mail/packages
  • Various collaborations with the Marketing team and assisting with the execution of employee/external facing events
  • Serving as backup to Office Services Supervisor for general Office Services tasks
  • Serving as backup to the receptionist for lunch and break periods
  • Serving as backup to courier services, when needed. Driving a company-owned vehicle may be required.
  • Miscellaneous duties may be assigned
  • Requirements

EDUCATION AND REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 1-2 years related experience
  • 3+ years’ experience in a corporate environment preferred

  • Proficient in the use of MS Office suite and possesses technical skills to complete the above tasks
