This Limited Duration, full-time position is with the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife (ODFW) located in Cascade Locks, Oregon. The anticipated duration of this position is through September 30, 2026. We will also consider a Job Rotation for current, regular status employees of the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife in good standing in a permanent or limited duration position (not temporary or seasonal) that is expected to continue through at least September 30, 2026. The Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife is looking to fill a position for our front desk office support at Bonneville Hatchery. What you will do: • Greet and direct visitors to appropriate destinations. Handle incoming calls from in and outside of the agency. Answer basic questions about fishing and hunting regulations; provide information about services available. Compile statistics for a variety of reports (e.g., activity, referrals, complaints, training, inspections, travel expenses, and mileage). Type and proofread a variety of correspondence, agendas, forms, and other miscellaneous materials which requires a general knowledge of agency programs and policies. • Responsible for assigning, processing, and reviewing purchase documents for Bonneville Fish Hatchery and codes purchase documents with accounting cost codes and budget charges. Receive and inspect deliveries prior to authorizing purchases. Advise staff regarding price agreements and purchasing procedures. Assist in tracking budgets as directed by the manager. Order hatchery and office supplies, forms, and printed materials. • Prepare agenda for Safety Committee meetings. Organize and maintain safety documents. Schedule training classes and provide mandatory training to employees. Develop and maintain safety training schedule. • May use a state-issued credit card (SPOTS) for work related purchases. What we are looking for: Minimum Qualifications: Two years of general clerical experience that includes keyboarding, word processing, or other experience generating documents; OR An associate degree in any field; OR An equivalent combination of education and experience.
