We are seeking an experienced Odoo Developer to build a Compliance & Education Program System from scratch. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Odoo development and experience in creating systems that meet compliance and educational needs. To meet regulatory requirements (22 C.F.R. §§ 62.10 & 62.25), we are implementing a customized Odoo system to manage teacher applications, host school placements, and compliance tracking. We previously had a developer set up a partial instance, but it was built haphazardly and will not be reused. We need an experienced Odoo professional to start fresh, build a clean system from scratch, and ensure it is robust, auditable, and user-friendly. Key Deliverables Custom Odoo Module Development (from scratch) Teacher, school, placement, mentor log, site visit, hotline case, training, and document registry models. Automations: mentor log reminders, visa/license expiry alerts, hotline SLA escalations. “One-Click Export” wizard to generate compliance-ready bundles (ZIP/PDF/CSV). Dashboards & Reporting Executive dashboard (applications, placements, compliance KPIs). Compliance dashboard (mentor log completion, site visits, case management). Quarterly compliance report (QWeb PDF). Portals & Permissions Mentor portal for log submission. School portal for uploading LOIs/MOUs and accreditation proofs. Teacher portal (optional) for document uploads and training attestations. Proper role-based access and security. Multi-Company Setup Distinct financial flows for GFO Inc. (nonprofit) and GF4 Global Faculty Services, LLC (for-profit). Shared teacher/school/placement data with clear segregation of access. Training & Documentation (Mandatory) Remote training for GFO’s Responsible Officer and Alternate Responsible Officer. User guide for portal users (mentors, schools, teachers). Technical documentation (module architecture, workflows, cron jobs, exports) for future developers. Qualifications Strong track record developing custom Odoo modules from scratch (Python + XML). Experience with multi-company setups and portal user management. Ability to train staff and produce clear documentation. Bonus: Knowledge of education, compliance, or nonprofit ERP systems. Engagement Details Platform: Odoo 16+ (community edition). Scope: Greenfield build — ignore the previous partial setup. Timeline: Initial buildout in 4–6 weeks, with potential for ongoing support. Deliverables: Fully working system + training + documentation. Location: Remote. Budget: Open to hourly or milestone-based proposals.
