Description of Work As a member of a multidisciplinary clinical team the Occupational Therapist provides occupational therapy evaluations and treatment as required, and conducts developmental evaluations of 0-3 year old children to determine eligibility for the Infant-Toddler Program and to assess child and family needs for early intervention supports and services, including evaluation for appropriate assistive technology. Key Duties: - Conducting developmental evaluations and occupational therapy assessments to determine eligibility for early intervention services. - Administering and interpreting standardized and non-standardized assessment tools to evaluate motor, sensory, and adaptive functioning. - Designing and implementing individualized treatment plans that address developmental delays and support participation in daily routines. - Providing direct occupational therapy services when no other provider is available within the CDSA network. - Coaching families and caregivers on strategies to support skill development during everyday activities and routines. - Recommending, fabricating, and training families in the use of adaptive equipment, splints, or assistive technology as appropriate. - Documenting evaluations, treatment plans, progress notes, and billing information in accordance with CDSA and program standards. - Participating in Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP) meetings and contributing to the development of functional outcomes. - Offering consultation and technical assistance to families, service coordinators, and community providers regarding developmental concerns. - Supporting quality assurance activities, staff training, and community outreach initiatives as assigned. Applicants who possess the following skills are preferred: Demonstrated experience conducting standardized developmental evaluations for children ages birth to three in natural environments, including administration and interpretation of tools such as the Peabody Developmental Motor Scales or Bayley Scales of Infant and Toddler Development. Experience in designing and implementing individualized treatment plans that integrate family-centered coaching strategies to support motor, sensory, and adaptive skill development within daily routines. Documented experience in recommending, fitting, and training caregivers on the use of adaptive equipment and assistive technology, including positioning devices, splints, and sensory supports, to enhance functional participation. Experienced in documenting clinical activities in accordance with Medicaid and third-party billing standards, including timely completion of progress notes, evaluation summaries, and service logs electronic health record systems. Proven experience collaborating effectively as part of an interdisciplinary team, contributing to the development and implementation of Individualized Family Service Plans (IFSPs) and participating in case conferences and family consultations.
