We are seeking an experienced NOC Support Engineer to join our IT Operations team. This role is responsible for the 24x7 monitoring, support, and administration of our IT infrastructure, ensuring the availability, performance, and security of critical systems. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with Linux and Windows environments, demonstrates strong troubleshooting skills, and thrives in a fast-paced operations setting. Key Responsibilities Monitor infrastructure, servers, applications, and networks through NOC tools and dashboards. Provide tier 1–2 support for incidents, alerts, and service requests. Perform system administration tasks across Windows Server (Active Directory, Group Policy, Exchange, IIS, etc.) and Linux (RedHat, Ubuntu, CentOS) environments. Troubleshoot and resolve system, network, and application issues; escalate to senior engineers when required. Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) for incident response, escalation, and communication. Execute routine maintenance, patching, and system updates to ensure stability and compliance. Create and maintain detailed documentation, knowledge base articles, and runbooks. Collaborate with infrastructure, security, and application teams to resolve recurring or complex issues. Participate in an on-call rotation or support shift schedule to provide 24x7 coverage. Qualifications 2–5 years of experience in NOC, IT operations, or systems administration. Hands-on experience with both Linux and Windows Server environments. Familiarity with monitoring tools (Nagios, Zabbix, SolarWinds, PRTG, Datadog, etc.). Knowledge of network fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, firewalls, VPNs, load balancers). Basic scripting skills (PowerShell, Bash, or Python) for automation and troubleshooting. Strong understanding of incident management and ITIL-based processes. Excellent problem-solving and communication skills. Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Preferred Skills Experience with cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP). Exposure to security operations (SIEM, log analysis, IDS/IPS). Familiarity with virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes). Previous experience in a 24x7 NOC environment supporting enterprise infrastructure.
