About the Role:
The Network Technician II provides on-site technical support for Century Mold’s Shelbyville, TN facility, ensuring that all network, infrastructure, and end-user systems operate reliably and securely. This position plays a critical role in supporting production and office environments, delivering hands-on technical service while collaborating remotely with the broader IT Operations team.
This is an independent, customer-facing role that combines network administration, hardware support, and desktop troubleshooting. The Network Technician II also supports and maintains local IT infrastructure projects such as camera systems, security and access control, and facility technology improvements.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Provide on-site support for network infrastructure, workstations, and servers within the Shelbyville facility.
- Troubleshoot and resolve network connectivity, hardware, and software issues for end-users and production systems.
- Perform installation, configuration, and maintenance of network devices such as switches, wireless access points, and firewalls.
- Support Active Directory user and group management, printer configuration, and system permissions.
- Manage and maintain local technology assets, including physical security systems, cameras, and access control infrastructure.
- Assist in the deployment and maintenance of IT projects such as hardware refreshes, system rollouts, and network upgrades.
- Collaborate with remote IT Operations and Cybersecurity teams to maintain compliance with security and configuration standards.
- Document configurations, network diagrams, and support procedures for local infrastructure.
What You’ll Be Doing (cont’d):
- Provide professional, customer-focused support to plant personnel, maintaining strong communication and follow-through.
- Participate in after-hours maintenance or incident response as needed.
- Travel up to 20% to support other Century Mold sites as required.
- Train users in the proper use of computer tools and corporate systems as needed.
