We are looking for an experienced .NET developer with agentic skills to help us enhance a production-grade application. The application is a multi-tiered ASP.NET system written in C# with SQL Server as the backend. It delivers a set of interpreted reports generated from a battery of questions. Good communication skills are required as well as a willingness to collaborate with our in-house expertise who will oversee the project. Your primary responsibility will be to design and implement an AI-powered chat interface that leverages Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) techniques. This chat window will allow users to interactively explore, interpret, and understand their reports, creating a seamless and intelligent experience. Responsibilities: Understand the existing ASP.NET application architecture and report generation workflow. Design and implement a chat window UI integrated into the application. Connect the chat functionality to AI services/models (RAG-based) that can explain and contextualize generated reports. Work with our team to define retrieval strategies, knowledge base integration, and fine-tuned response generation. Ensure scalability, performance, and security best practices in implementation. Provide documentation and handoff support for maintainability. Requirements: Proven expertise with the .NET stack (ASP.NET, C#, SQL Server). Strong understanding of multi-tiered web applications and their architecture. Hands-on experience with AI/LLM integration, particularly RAG pipelines. Ability to build intuitive front-end chat experiences (using standard ASP.NET components). Experience connecting applications with external AI APIs (OpenAI, Azure AI, etc.). Strong problem-solving, debugging, and agentic skills—able to anticipate challenges and propose solutions proactively. Familiarity with cloud-based deployment environments (Azure/AWS) is a plus. Deliverables: A fully functional AI-powered chat interface embedded in the existing ASP.NET app. Integration of RAG workflow tied to the generated reports. Documentation on implementation and usage.
