About

Hi there, My name’s Dylan Chu, and I’m reaching out from Hot Visuals, a production and creative studio based in Agoura Hills, Los Angeles. We’re currently leading the U.S. rollout for Watanabe Wheels, one of Japan’s most iconic and respected heritage wheel brands. Watanabe has been handcrafting wheels since the 1960s, becoming synonymous with vintage motorsport culture and timeless Japanese Automotive styling. Their wheels defined an era of Japanese racing, and their designs remain a benchmark for enthusiasts worldwide. We’re now helping establish the first official Watanabe showroom in the U.S., located in Los Angeles. Alongside that, we’re building a modern website that honors the brand’s legacy while offering a seamless, future-ready digital experience for American customers. Here’s what we’re aiming to create: - Modern, heritage-inspired eCommerce experience: timeless Japanese design blended with contemporary UX. -Advanced fitment system: browse by vehicle (chassis/model, year, offset, width, PCD) or by wheel model. -Clean product pages: clear spec data, finish options, and high-resolution galleries. -AI-powered support: we have an AI partner who’ll integrate a chatbot to assist customers with sizing, lead times, and technical questions. -Showroom + events hub: highlight our LA showroom, local events, and future collaborations. -Dealer / wholesale functionality: allow B2B access, dealer onboarding, and order visibility. -Visual storytelling: bringing in authentic JDM heritage references from our magazine archive and design direction from Hot Visuals. We’ll provide all wheel data, imagery, and design references. We'll integrate our AI chatbot partner once a majority of the website is completed. Here's a link to their current Websites. We want to stress ease-of-use and organization. https://www.rs-watanabe.co.jp/ https://watanabe-wheels.com/ Right now, we’re primarily looking to understand: - A general ballpark estimate for a full website build like this (design + development). - A realistic project timeline, including discovery, design, and launch phases. - How your team would approach creating a smooth, high-performance site that feels effortless to navigate on both desktop and mobile. We’re looking to get the website live as soon as possible, so timelines and availability will play a big role in our decision. If this sounds like a good fit, we’d love to connect next week to discuss your approach and recommendations. Dylan Chu Project Manager | Hot Visuals / Watanabe LA
