Wavehuggers is looking to hire surf instructors for:

• Private/Group Surf Lessons
• Open Group Classes

What we're looking for:

• You LOVE being at the beach and sharing your passion for surfing with others
• You are patient, energetic, healthy, confident, and out-going
• Your schedule is flexible
• You are a good problem-solver and can handle a high-stress environment
• You are reliable and quick to respond via text/phone
• You are willing and able to take on lessons/work on short notice (many, but not all, lessons are booked same day or day before)
• You are a morning person
• You have reliable transportation
• You are available on the weekends

Requirements:

• CPR/First-Aid certification (can be obtained after hired)
• Ability to store and transport foamboards and wetsuits
• Capability of managing your own schedule
• Willingness to drive to our different beach locations where we offer lessons
• Available minimum 4 days a week

• Must be available on weekends

Compensation:

• You will receive a base pay hourly rate for teaching one-on-one lessons

• Pay increases depending on type of instruction with multiple people
• Commission for referrals and repeat customers

• Raises for outstanding performance available
• Customers often tip our instructors
