- TE Connectivity’s Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) team champions a workplace culture where safety, health, and environmental stewardship are prioritized for everyone. - We’re seeking a collaborative and proactive leader to guide continuous improvement in Environment, Health, Safety & Sustainability (EHS&S) performance. This role will lead the EHS team and report directly to the Greensboro Plant Director, providing technical guidance across all functions to ensure a safe and inclusive environment for employees, visitors, and contractors.
- This position is fully on-site at our Automotive facility in Greensboro, NC.
- Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support the EHS&S team, fostering a culture of safety, inclusion, and shared accountability.
- Build strong relationships across the site to promote proactive EHS engagement and compliance.
- Prepare and communicate EHS performance metrics to internal and external stakeholders.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to lead EHS initiatives and projects.
- Ensure EHS programs meet or exceed regulatory requirements and TE standards through training, audits, and continuous improvement.
- Drive enhancements in programs such as TE SMS (S.A.F.E), Hazard Management, Behavior-Based Safety (BBS), Ergonomics, Chemical Management, and Energy Reduction.
- Maintain site permits, licenses, and certifications.
- Provide oversight for hazardous materials and waste management.
- Manage incident reporting and response in alignment with OSHA, HSA, and company policies.
- Develop and manage the EHS budget.
- Represent TE during audits and site visits from authorities and customers.
- Other Responsibilities
- Engage all plant leaders in environmental compliance efforts across departments.
- Conduct reviews to ensure alignment with environmental regulations (CAA, CWA, RCRA, TSCA, SARA, etc.).
- Partner with regulatory agencies for inspections and compliance assurance.
- Align site sustainability efforts with broader business unit and enterprise goals.
- Track and report environmental metrics related to energy, water, and waste.
- Lead capital projects that support compliance and sustainability improvements.
- Monitor regulatory changes and ensure proactive compliance.
- Provide regular updates to leadership on compliance status, audit results, and improvement opportunities.
- Oversee ISO 14001 management system implementation and certification.
- Job Requirements
- Preferably 10+ years of experience
- 5+ years of EHS experience, preferably in manufacturing
- Degree or equivalent experience in EHS-related roles
- Certified Safety Professional (CSP) preferred

- Strong understanding of EHS legislation and management systems.
- Familiarity with sustainability goals (Scope 1, 2, and 3).

- Detail-oriented with a results-driven mindset.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and EHS-related software tools.
- Experience implementing EHS systems in manufacturing environments.
- Competencies SET : Strategy, Execution, Talent (for managers)COMPENSATION• Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $125,300 – $156,600 (subject to change dependent on physical location)• Posted salary ranges are made in good faith.
