- MCHC is looking for a caring, detail-oriented Medical Assistant to join our collaborative primary care healthcare team. In this role, you’ll support providers in delivering exceptional, patient-centered care in a fast-paced clinical environment. What You’ll Do
- Welcome and prepare patients for visits, collecting vital signs and health information
- Assist providers with exams, procedures, and treatments within your scope of practice
- Administer medications and vaccines in accordance with provider orders and within the Medical Assistant scope of practice
- Perform routine tests (such as vision and hearing screenings) and assist with lab specimens
- Maintain accurate documentation using our Electronic Health Record (EHR) system
- Help manage prescription refill requests and medication reconciliations
- Provide clear patient education and support as directed by the provider
- Participate in team huddles, trainings, and continuous quality improvement efforts
- Occasionally travel to support other MCHC sites as needed
- Gain experience by cross training in family medicine, pediatrics, internal medicine, psychiatry and specialty services.

- Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Preferred Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)
- At least one year of experience in a clinical setting
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) fluency
