Salary: $27.81 per hour, DOE Job Summary: Performs technical work in the maintenance and repairs of the mechanical systems of a wastewater treatment plant, building, facilities and City owned lift stations. The incumbent must perform work safely, efficiently, and accurately, occasionally under adverse conditions. Expected to exercise initiative and independent judgment both individually, and as part of a team, in assisting with maintenance, operations, projects and technical related activities. Communicates and cooperates with City personnel, public, vendors and contractors. Licensing and Certification: Must hold a valid State of Idaho driver’s license with a good driving record; Must have or be able to obtain a Wastewater Treatment Operator Class 1 license within 12 months of employment; Must be able to attend and complete all required safety training requirements and certifications including but not limited to: confined space entry, CPR/AED, ICS, fall protection, forklift. Job Specifications High school diploma or equivalent; Three (3) years maintenance and repair of equipment, facilities or the performance of related work; or any combination of experience and education that provides the skills and abilities necessary to perform all the duties listed.
