Job Description: Marketing Automation Specialist Position Overview The Marketing Automation Specialist is responsible for building, managing, and optimizing automated marketing campaigns that generate leads, improve customer engagement, and support revenue growth. This role serves as the technical expert for our marketing automation platform (HubSpot, Marketo, or equivalent) and ensures seamless integration between marketing, sales, and customer data systems. You will design automated workflows, build email campaigns, maintain CRM data quality, and ensure our marketing engine runs efficiently and at scale. ________________________________________ Key Responsibilities Marketing Automation & Workflow Development • Build, test, and optimize automated workflows including lead nurturing, onboarding, re-engagement, and lifecycle journeys. • Create segmentation logic based on behavior, engagement, demographics, and CRM data. • Develop dynamic and personalized content to improve relevance and conversion. Campaign Execution & Email Marketing • Build and deploy marketing emails, newsletters, and triggered campaigns. • Manage A/B tests for messaging, design, subject lines, and send times. • Monitor deliverability, list hygiene, and unsubscribe compliance (CAN-SPAM, GDPR). System Administration & Integrations • Manage the marketing automation platform (HubSpot, Marketo, SFMC, Pardot, Klaviyo, etc.). • Ensure proper syncing between marketing automation, CRM, website forms, and integrations. • Work with sales, RevOps, and engineering on API connections and custom data flows. Lead Management & Scoring • Build and maintain lead scoring models (behavioral + demographic). • Manage lifecycle stages, ensuring smooth handoff from Marketing to Sales. • Collaborate with Sales to define lead quality and MQL/SQL criteria. Data & Reporting • Maintain clean data through deduplication, list maintenance, and property management. • Build dashboards and reports to track campaign performance, funnel metrics, and ROI. • Analyze results and recommend optimizations to improve performance. Cross-Functional Collaboration • Work closely with Marketing, Sales, RevOps, and Product teams. • Provide guidance on best practices for automation, email, segmentation, and workflows. • Train team members on how to use the marketing automation system. ________________________________________ Qualifications Required • 2–5 years of experience in marketing automation, email marketing, or CRM operations. • Hands-on experience with at least one major platform (HubSpot, Marketo, Pardot, Klaviyo, ActiveCampaign, SFMC). • Strong understanding of database structure, segmentation logic, and lifecycle marketing. • Experience building automated workflows and triggered campaigns. • Ability to interpret data, build reports, and identify optimization opportunities. • Basic HTML/CSS skills for email editing.
