PEX is responsible for setting the strategic direction of Vision Planning, developing capabilities (People, Process, Technology, Metrics) and ensuring effective deployment of these within the business to drive continuous improvement and improve efficiency, effectiveness, optimizing working capital whilst keeping our customer’s needs central to what we do. The Manager Plan Capabilities (Demand Planning), is a technical, subject matter expert, for demand planning in OMP (Advanced Planning System). This role reports into the Senior Manager Plan Capabilities (Demand Planning) and resides within the Supply Chain Planning organization. Key Responsibilities: Leading OMP demand planning system investigations, root cause analysis, issues resolution and corrective actions with internal and external partners. Delivering demand planning system capabilities, supporting the S&OP / IBP drumbeat. Monitoring, supporting technical activities (jobs, scripts, schedule, downtimes) to ensure OMP system readiness for demand planning. As project leader, driving OMP demand planning system enhancements in line with the demand planning capability transformation roadmaps. Partnering with internal and external IT, leading continuous improvement initiatives to ensure system robustness and efficiency. Developing organizational knowledge around OMP, sharing expertise and further refining training material and documentation content in support of the PEX team and broader business education. Providing proactive, concise communications to the regional and global demand planning community as it relates to project execution, business transformations, and change impact. Improving OMP demand planning system usage and capabilities, through test and learn initiatives. Acting as a pioneer for demand planning, sharing best practices, supporting system adoption and understanding. Building strong collaboration with business partners to ensure operational excellence in both system and processes. Leading sustainment and stability of the planning system solution, working closely with internal PEX partners, and engaging internal J&J IT teams. Key Relationships: This position will work closely with various Supply Chain stakeholders including but not limited to: All levels of the Plan function. Make, Deliver, Source, Product Management or other SC functional team members. Enterprise groups (EPEx, SCDM, SCSS, JJT, among others). Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s Degree required with preference in Supply Chain, Computer Science, Analytics, Engineering or equivalent / advanced degree/MBA preferred. PMP, FPX, SME, lean / 6S Black Belt or equivalent certifications preferred. Other certifications in areas of expertise desirable. Experience: A minimum of 5 years of related Supply Chain related experience is required. Strong background / experience in Supply Chain Planning processes and systems is required. Good SQL Skills / Alteryx or other data analysis tools Relevant mix of global, regional, cross-sector / cross-industry experience is preferred. Experience with Advanced Planning Systems deployments, specifically OMP technology is highly preferred. APICS certification is preferred. LEAN / 6-Sigma process excellence certification is preferred. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Strong analytical and quantitative skills, excellent communication and presentation skills are required. Pro-active, can-do attitude. High level of personal initiative, ability to function autonomously and self-confidence The ability to effectively manage projects, timelines, and change management is required. Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate clearly, making the complex clear and compelling to all levels of the organization in both written and oral forms is required. Ability to embed a culture of harmonization and process improvement and value creation across the business is required. Other Requirements Location of Role: Preferred: Jacksonville (USA), Limerick (Ireland), Pune (India), New Jersey (USA), Belgium or other J&J Hub locations will be considered case by case.
